That park is home to an Amazon.com Inc. distribution center and a 300,000-square-foot plant for Swiss auto supplier Autoneum, both developed by Crossdock Development Inc.

Crossdock owner Lee Wilburn also is finishing work on a warehouse property with more than 600,000 square feet. The building, located at 800 Patrol Road, has a committed tenant, but the business’ name has not yet been released.

In addition to those structures, there are more developments in progress in America Place at River Ridge, which has leased one 125,000-square-foot building to Illinois auto supplier Tenneco and soon will deliver its second speculative building of 252,000 square feet.

“River Ridge is experiencing a great deal of success, and there are more and more people giving that submarket consideration,” Spears said. “The completion of the (Ohio River) bridges will only enhance that park’s ability to attract new companies.”

Construction in River Ridge ensued at a rapid pace once the construction got under way on the East End bridge, which will connect Southern Indiana to the Gene Snyder Freeway in eastern Jefferson County.
